| BY THE GOOGLE CHICApple has over the years dominated the market, not just in the US but throughout the world. Due to Apple’s popularity many of its products have been “replicated” . The Meizu M8 looks a lot like the iPhone, similarly the iPed to the iPad.
Surprisingly, an Apple device was not the one that was knocked off this time! There’s an Asian version of Steve Jobs promoting an iOS app and handing out real iPhones 🙂
The Asian Steve Jobs made his appearance at a launch party for MTR mobile in Hong Kong. MTR is Hong Kong’s public transit railways and let me tell you it’s a massive network (I’ve actually experienced this first hand)! MTR mobile helps you pick the fastest route to go from point A to point B and provides the fares associated with it. It even has an offline mode and augmented reality to help you locate what’s nearby, I have to say it looks pretty kool 🙂
When asked if MTR will create a Android version of the app, it looks like that they’re watching the popularity of the platform and it could be a possibility in the future. Does that mean we’ll see an Asian version of Eric Schdmit? 😉

| BY THE APPLE GIRLGoogleChic, this speaks volumes about Apple’s famous products. The Chinese made a wise decision to use Steve Jobs’s personality to boost their launch. After all, imitation is the best form of flattery 🙂 I only wish I could understand what they were saying in the video 🙂
Cult Of Mac recently interviewed former Apple CEO John Sculley on the subject of Steve Jobs. Sculley explains “Steve Jobs methodology” about designing products from a user’s perspective. “Steve always believed that the most important decisions you make are not the things you do – but the things you decide not to do”. Sculley goes on to describe his experience with Steve, the minimalist perfectionist, and how Apple followed Steve’s ideas even during the time when Steve was not with Apple. It’s quite a long interview, but it’s worth a read! I have to admit that I had goose bumps while reading some parts of it. If you want a gist of the interview, go on to MacRumors or find the full transcript by Cult Of Mac here.
I say let’s make a movie about Steve Jobs! If Zuckerberg can get a movie about Facebook, then Steve Jobs should get a trilogy about Apple! 😀 And of course, the perfectionist that he is, Steve Jobs wouldn’t let it release until it was utterly beautiful.
