Shepard Fairey iPhone cases

 BY THE APPLE GIRL

The popular American street artist, Shepard Fairey, known for his popular HOPE poster, has collaborated with Incase design to release iPhone, iPad and laptop cases and backpacks with his iconic “Obey Giant” street art. The artwork combines symbols of peace from across different cultures with Fairey’s ideology and vision of self-empowerment to promote harmony.

The Fairey-Incase line consists of iPod Touch case (30 USD), iPhone case (40 USD), MacBook Air (79 USD), 13″ and 15″ laptop sleeves (80 USD and 90 USD) and laptop backpack (150 USD).

I love Fairey’s iconic designs and having recently seen his murals around where I live, I am inclined to get one of the iPhone cases.

Just for kicks – Who is Obama’s favorite techie?

BY THE APPLE GIRL

Check out this picture from Obama’s dinner with the tech titans! He is flanked by the techie darling Zuckerberg and Steve Jobs! 🙂

Do you see Eric Shmidt at the far end of the table? Just saying 😉

President Obama this week announced, in his weekly address that education is the key in the creation of the “next Intel, next Google or next Microsoft”.

“That’s how we’ll ensure that the next Intel, the next Google, or the next Microsoft is created in America, and hires American workers.”

There’s no mention of Apple, hey I’m just saying 😉

Just for kicks! iPad protest!

BY THE APPLE GIRL

If you are protesting in a rally like these guys in Lithuania, you will definitely need a sign to hold up. And what better way to make a sign than to stick an iPad to the end of a stick.

From Obama’s autograph to a Lithuanian pensioner demonstrating against the goverment, iPad is ruling the planet!

GoogleChic, unless you are giving away free binoculars during the protest, I wouldn’t advise you on trying this with the Galaxy Tab 😉

That is one neat idea, I especially loved the plastic bag around the iPad to make it waterproof!

As for the Samsung Tab being too small, well it it looks like there are rumors that in 2011 there will be a 10 inch Tab in the market.

What’s also interesting is that Samsung recently released a 10.1 inch prototype which uses a super thin LCD technology that is currently being developed by them.  The downside is that it’ll take a couple of years for them to be able to release this to the market but think about the possibilities, am sure we’ll have more than a sign on a stick concept! Check out the pics below.

Just for kicks! Obama’s first iPad autograph!

BY THE APPLE GIRL

Sylvester Cann IV, got to meet the President at a rally in Seattle. He didn’t have a pen and paper to get an autograph but had his iPad on him. So he pulled up Adobe Ideas App (GoogleChic, before you jump on the sound of Adobe, this is not Adobe Flash ;)) and wrote “Mr. President, Sign my iPad”. And Obama did. Check out Sylvester’s web page for a video if you are interested.

Interestingly, later the same day Obama met with Steve Jobs to discuss economy, innovation and technology. Jobs, the man driving future technology, is definitely someone Obama should be having a talk with.

Sweet! I’m glad that there’s an Adobe product on the iPad after all 🙂 Maybe Jobs will now give Adobe some love.

By the way I hope Sylvester Cann IV backed up the famous Obama autograph somewhere safe in case his iPad crashes (I’m just saying, since the iPad doesn’t have external storage).

Not only did Obama meet with Jobs, he also met with Google VP’s Marissa Mayer for a $30K a plate fundraising dinner.
